holds a Masters Degree in Life Science Education from Boston College. His undergraduate work from the University of Newcastle in the UK was solely focused on the study of science; specifically chemistry, biochemistry, genetics and physiological sciences. Through teaching a wide variety of biology courses over the past two decades, Mr Blanchard has applied his strong science education to helping students become scientific thinkers and better communicators. Mr. Blanchard earned the top teaching credential in the US - National Board Certification - in 2009, and was the 2011 Somerset County Teacher of the Year. He currently heads up the Academy for Biotechnology at Mountain Lakes High School in Morris County, NJ.
